Payment Policy

How RODEL calculates totals, verifies PayMongo payments and handles COD orders.

Version 1.1 · Effective October 1, 2026

1. Currency and final total

All website amounts are in Philippine pesos. Product pricing is calculated from the server-side catalog. Shipping is calculated from the selected courier. The complete total is displayed before order placement.

2. PayMongo

Enabled PayMongo methods may include card, GCash and QR Ph depending on the merchant account configuration. Checkout sessions are created server-side. The browser success/return page is not treated as proof of payment; the order is marked paid only after a valid signed payment event is received and validated against the stored order/session/amount.

3. Card security

The RODEL application does not ask you to send card numbers, CVV, e-wallet MPIN, OTP or account passwords to store staff. Payment credentials should only be entered in the authorized payment-provider flow.

4. Cash on Delivery

Cash on Delivery orders require the advance amount displayed at checkout to be paid online through PayMongo before fulfillment begins. The required amount may be changed by the store for future orders, but each order keeps the amount shown and recorded when that order was placed. If the order total is lower than the configured advance, only the order total is charged. Any remaining balance is collected upon delivery. Repeated active/failed COD orders may be limited for fraud and return-to-sender risk control.

5. Failed, abandoned or duplicate payments

Unpaid hosted checkouts remain pending until safely expired/released by the store workflow. Signed payment event IDs/session references are recorded to prevent duplicate processing. If you believe you were charged but the order is not shown as paid, do not pay again until support checks the payment reference.

6. Fees

Any customer-paid service/payment fee must be configured and disclosed before final payment. This build does not silently accept a browser-provided fee amount as authoritative.

7. Invoices / receipts

Website order confirmations and tracking pages are operational transaction records. The business must issue the official invoice/receipt required by its BIR-registered invoicing setup and applicable tax rules. Do not label the website order summary as an official tax invoice unless the invoicing system has been configured/registered accordingly.

8. Payment concern
